What does New Way make, and who do you work with?
New Way is a Malaysian intelligent shading manufacturer that designs, fabricates, and installs window coverings in-house. The range covers indoor smart shading (motorised roller, zebra, roman, and drapery systems on Lutron and Aqara), outdoor tropical shading (Renson), plus curtain tracks, fabrics, and hospital cubicle track systems.
New Way works with curtain dealers, interior designers, architects, smart home integrators, and hospitality and healthcare clients across Malaysia and Singapore, alongside homeowners on high-end residential projects. Founded in 1993, the company runs its own 80,000 sq ft facility in Puncak Alam. Whether the job is one room or an entire tower, the work is made and installed by New Way.
Can I become a dealer or order at trade pricing?
New Way runs a dealer programme and already supplies more than 2,000 trade partners across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Curtain dealers and retailers get trade pricing, access to the full fabric range and motorised lines including Aqara and Lutron, and fabrication handled in-house, so supply stays consistent. Some partners have ordered since 2009.
To open a trade account, contact the dealer team through the enquiry form or WhatsApp and you will be set up with pricing and samples. Trade pricing is confirmed on application rather than listed publicly, because it depends on product mix and volume.
Do you take on custom, luxury, and large commercial projects?
New Way takes on bespoke residential, luxury, and large commercial projects as core work, not exceptions. Every system is made to order and fabricated to your measurements, from a single room to a full building.
For luxury residential and commercial jobs, New Way assigns a dedicated site manager to handle measurement, coordination with your contractor or designer, installation, and final commissioning.
Past projects span Lutron HomeWorks residences, five-star hotels, banks, government ministries, embassies, and more than 20 healthcare facilities. As of 2026, New Way has delivered over 100 commercial, residential, and government projects since 2020.
Do your shades work with Lutron and other smart home systems?
New Way’s motorised shades integrate with Lutron, Aqara, and the major smart home platforms. As an Authorised Lutron Fabricator since 2022, New Way builds shades that commission cleanly into Lutron HomeWorks, RadioRA, and Caseta scenes, so blinds and lighting move together.
Shades also run on Aqara motors, with New Way appointed the Aqara curtain track fabricator in Malaysia in 2024. Depending on the motor you choose, they work with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit, plus the brand’s own app. For Lutron dealers and integrators, that means factory-built assemblies that cut commissioning time and callbacks.
Can I get technical drawings, samples, and specifications for a project?
New Way provides technical drawings, fabric samples, and full specifications to support dealers, designers, and specifiers. This includes box-size and detail drawings for standard and custom products, fabric datasheets carrying performance figures and certifications such as GREENGUARD Gold and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and step-by-step installation guides, all available through the Professional Resources section or on request.
For specification work, the team supplies documentation that drops straight into your drawings and submittals. Request samples or drawings through the enquiry form or your dealer contact, and the team sends what the project requires.
Do you install, and what does the warranty cover?
New Way installs what it makes and backs every product with a 5-year warranty, well beyond the typical Malaysian and Singaporean market standard. Installation, fabrication, and project management are handled in-house rather than subcontracted, so one team is accountable from measurement to final walkthrough.
On luxury residential and commercial projects, a dedicated site manager oversees the install and commissioning. The warranty reflects the build: fabrics are tested for colour fastness and tension strength, with only around 1% strength loss measured over 10 years. If anything goes wrong, a direct phone and WhatsApp line reaches a real person.
Why does New Way cost more than a standard curtain shop?
New Way costs more than a standard curtain shop because the materials, fabrication, and after-sale service are built to a different standard. The fabrics are built on raw materials from suppliers such as Indorama Ventures, BASF, and DuPont, and reach Grade 8 colour fastness (the maximum, versus about Grade 4.5 for typical competitors), with batch-to-batch colour deviation under 0.5%.
Every order is made in-house, installed by New Way, and covered for 5 years. Luxury and commercial projects get a dedicated site manager, because the most expensive failure in shading is a poor install, not a fabric fault. New Way does not compete on lowest price; it competes on getting the result right and keeping it right.
Where do you operate, and can you deliver outside Malaysia?
As of 2026, New Way operates across Malaysia and Singapore, manufacturing from its 80,000 sq ft facility in Puncak Alam, Selangor. A Singapore entity supports projects there, and the company has delivered cross-border work, including a residence in Singapore and hotel and commercial projects in Thailand.
Within Malaysia and Singapore, New Way handles the full process in-house, from fabrication to installation. For international or regional enquiries, the team assesses supply and coordination case by case and will advise what is feasible for your location and timeline.
